S. J. Root & Co.Ltd was established in 1990 by Carpenters Stephen Root and Steven Snowling. From becoming a Limited Company in 1996, to today, S. J. Root & Co. have continued to grow and develop into a market leading provider of Carpentry Labour and Project Management for clients across the Essex, Suffolk, Hertfordshire and Cambridgeshire regions.

 

Over their 30 year lifespan, S. J. Root have built a high quality and reliable work force with more than 180 carpenters spread across over 40 sites, boasting an annual turnover of over £10 million.

 

The projects S. J. Root are currently and have previously worked on range in value from £3,000 to £2,000,000.

Over the years, S. J. Root has delivered successful carpentry projects for a wide range of developers and always works hard to maintain good relationships throughout.

A very early client was Berkeley Homes, where S. J. Root carried out the carpentry package for 110 luxury detached homes in Chingford, Essex. A more recent is Hill Partnerships, who are building a large retirement complex of one and two bedroom apartments as well as a range of leisure facilities in Bocking, Braintree.
